I used to practice law. I don't anymore.
I worked as a temp for a long time before law school. There was something satisfying about it, about the lack of responsibility. When you left work, it did not follow you home.
The Onion may be the satire, but it's often full of truth.
As in this story.

Introduction to Awesomeness
This blog is about me. Sort of.
I work very hard at living my life according to my beliefs. As a result, I am awesome. It sounds arrogant and it's meant jokingly, but others would agree with me.
I'm awesome, but I'm not perfect. I've made missteps, broken hearts, crushed souls, and
This blog is not about the missteps. This blog is about reminding myself of all I do right. And thinking through the root of those actions, examining my beliefs in the hopes of uncovering truth.
And, of course, along the way, I hope others are inspired by my lead.
Am I a role model? Maybe. I often ask myself why more people in the world don't live like I do. There are some good reasons, but I'm convinced mostly it's out of laziness.
A few things you should know before I begin: There are several excellent blogs out there about self-help, happiness, and personal achievement. For starters, I recommend the following:
The Happiness Project
Zen Habits
Dumb Little Man
Minimalist
Rock Your Day
These blogs always provide a lift when I'm feeling a little low. Now, as the colder weather sets in, it's a good time to go through their archives. Happy reading!
